Description |
Anonymised transcript of a follow up interview with Cathy. Since her original interview, she has broken up with her partner and had a lot of family difficulties to contend with whilst studying for her A-Level exams. Cathy talks at length about her turbulent break up - it was quite a dramatic break up, involving lots of alcohol, arguments and on again, off again dynamics, as well as subsequent stints in various hospitals after being sectioned. She discusses the different types of men she has been dating since the break up and the different, largely class-based, values and aspirations that they have had. Some of these have been sexual relationships, with unprotected sex and high levels of risk. Cathy has had a lot of pressure on her from her father to do exceedingly well in her exams, but is feeling less worried about her grades and is optimistic about her future.
