Title
'Feck St. Patriarchy' placard used at Irish Abortion rights rally in Brighton (2017)
Description
This placard, 'Feck St. Patriarchy', was created for a Fallopian Tunes (queer, feminist music collective) protest at Brighton Train Station to highlight and raise funds for the Irish Abortion Rights campaign.
The rally, held at Brighton Train station, was organised to meet Irish campaigners as they finished their journey from Dublin to Brighton on the "sail rail" - highlighting the journey taken by many Irish women who had been denied access to abortion services in Ireland.
Fallopian Tunes, initially an Irish music venture (2012 - 2015), organized the event and hosted a placard making evening the night before the protest. After the Irish contingent arrived, the group walked from Brighton Train Station to the Rose Hill Tavern, for a gig organised by Fallopain Tunes to raise funds for the campaign.
